When a kids event I help plan ended in Febuary I remember saying.."When this is over I can finally relax!"
When I finally finished remodeling my kids church I remember saying..."When this is over I can focus on Easter and when Easter is over I can finally relax!"
Easter is over and I am so thankful for the many lives I encountered and was able to minister too! It's one of my favorite holidays and I love celebrating Jesus!
Monday after Easter I sat at my desk thinking "YES! A normal week!!" That thought came to a halt when I realized my Summer Event was 58 days away! That's less than two months! An event that I usually take 4 months to plan! Panic hit me and I quickly started getting all my ducks in a row!!
Then it hit me. WHEN WILL I EVER RELAX!
I am a go go go go go kind of person. I really don't know when to stop. It can be good, but it can also be very bad! That night I remember seeing my sweet baby girl and realized I have been so caught up in work that I not only neglected her but my husband as well. I gave her the biggest hug and for the rest of the week committed to make special time just for them!
The truth is there will always be something to do..another event to plan, practices to be ran, house to clean, lessons to print, emails to send.. The list goes on! But I refuse to let time slip by and not make time to simply MAKE TIME!
I want to be a wife and a mom who makes time for the random hugs even if I am running late, the silly dance time even when I should be going over a lesson, I want to make time to make memories with my family. I don't want to look back and only see my busy schedule. I want to see memories of love, joy, & lots of happiness!
It's time to make time!
